WATER FIGHT!!!
On Thursday afternoon we had a BIG water fight!!! We were allowed 10 water balloons each and some people used water guns. The aftermath was very wet!!!
Find your Tree!!!
For Thursdays Camp Craft we had to have one buddy and one of us would be blind folded. Our partner would zig-zag us through the trees and show us a tree. We would have to hug the tree, smell the tree, feel the tree, and then our buddy would take us back through the trees. Finally we would take off the blind fold and find our tree. It was SO HARD!!!
Bush to Hospital
We have been learning how to make a splint for a broken leg and how to make a stretcher to get from bush to hospital. We were also learning what we could use if we didn't have a first aid kit. For example, to tie a stick as a splint you could use vines, shoe laces, anything that is strong.

Dance for Pudding!
On Wednesday one of the YMCA staff came around and told us we had to do 'The Funky Chicken' to receive our chocolate mousse. It was totally embarrassing!
Killer Hill
We had heard a lot about Killer Hill. The beginning is an easy stroll through the long grass.
But then the grass disappears and we are in the bush climbing a steep and slippery hill.
At last everyone is able to have a break. Our muesli bars tasted
so yummy because we had walked such a long way.
so yummy because we had walked such a long way.
Finally after 3 hours we reached Hunua falls. We ate our lunch in
front of the waterfall, it was so pretty

Archery shoot outs
At archery there were targets that we had to shoot at. We had four arrows each.
We aimed at the target and tried to get it in the middle.
The high beam
As we were walking to the high beam it didn't look high but as
we were climbing up to the top we thought actually this is high.
You had to balance yourself to the end of the beam and then do some actions
half way along. After that you had to bend your knees and lean backwards.
I felt happy and relieved that I had conquered my fear of heights.
Kayaking!!
We separated into groups and went off to different activities. Kayaking
was one of the four activities that we did today.
The water was freezing but the kayaking was fun, I had a great time.
The awesome activities
1. Crate Challenge: Each team had to try and make a tower out of crates.
2. Super Fox: We all had to climb up a big ladder(see below) and get put into a
harness then off we went.
harness then off we went.
It was very high but the ride was thrilling.
Abseiling
Climbing up a ladder then going down a wall backwards = ABSEILING!!!
Everybody was so scared but did it. AMAZING!!!
Covered in mud!!
There was a bridge and we had to crawl in the mud and it was yuck.
Running through the maze.
Singing in their muddy clothes.
Going across the tyres without falling in...we all made it.
